Using Mods

In order to use mods there are some things to take into account.

  • Mods that modify game configuration data (such as modifying cards, translations, and other things) will prevent you from playing with others that don't have the same mod setup for those particular mods
  • Mods that modify game resources (such as textures and some select card characteristics) allow you to still play with unmodded players, but they won't see your changes

"But I want to play modded games with my friends!"

You can do so by either hosting a LAN Lobby (which works for both local network and online if your router ports are open), or through Steam Lobbies if you're playing on Steam.

Adding new mods

To add a new mod, you can use the mod manager in the in-game settings for Fairtravel Battle.

The mod manager allows you to select a file in your device to set up automatically for you. It supports both single files and zip files.

Finding the Mod manager

  • Start the game
  • In the main menu, go to the game settings on the top right
  • Select the "Manage Mods" button

Adding mods

  • There should be a button on the bottom right to select a file
  • Press it and browse for the mod file or zip file containing a single mod
  • The file should be copied or unzipped to the game's mod folder and ready to use
  • Tick the checkbox left of the mod's name and press Update to use it

Note: When picking a mod to add to the game, you should select one mod at a time. If you have a zip file that contains multiple mods, they will not work!
